Spencer Academies Trust appoints new Director of Vulnerable Learners
Spencer Academies Trust is pleased to announce the appointment of Rachael Saunders to its Central Inclusion Team as the Director of Vulnerable Learners from September 2023.
Mrs Saunders is currently Assistant Vice Principal at Heanor Gate Spencer Academy. She is an experienced Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator and Designated Safeguarding Lead and has taught across a range of secondary settings in the East Midlands and London.
Mrs Saunders said, “I am incredibly excited and proud to be joining the central team at Spencer Academies Trust. After working at Heanor Gate Spencer Academy, I know the Trust team, alongside the trust schools aim to build inclusive, equitable schools, with our young people at the heart of our decision making. I am motivated to ensure all schools allow our young people to succeed, giving them the skills to become their own advocates and allow them to thrive, both during their education, but also as adults.”
