Spencer Academies Trust IT Apprentice named Baltic Apprentice of the Month

Sam Morgan, who has been with the Trust since January, was nominated for the award after being named Session Superstar in June.

IT Apprentice Sam Morgan has been named Apprentice of the Month by Baltic Apprenticeships after a nomination by his supervisor.

Head of IT Matt Rose chose to nominate Mr Morgan for the award after he was named Session Superstar earlier in June; the session facilitator commented, “Sam is a pleasure to have in the group—he is professional at all times, asks questions and is willing to support his peers.”

In his nomination, Mr Rose highlighted Mr Morgan’s successful deployment of the Trust-wide sign-in app and management of the 800+ iPads throughout the Trust’s 26 schools. “In Sam’s time at the Trust, he has successfully deployed a sign-in app across the Trust and its 26 schools, allowing the entire organisation to be part of one single system. He also installed and arranged BENQ screen management software in two schools, laying the groundwork for Trust-wide implementation. This will enable remote device management and play an enormous role in streamlining IT’s workload. Further, Sam has been effectively managing the Trust’s iPad management system, which consists of over 800 devices. In addition to his technical skills, Sam is a great learner with a strong work ethic. He is punctual, professional and always eager to help.”

Mr Rose added, “Congratulations to Sam on being named Apprentice of the Month by Batlic! His determination, resilience, and growth have set him apart and his commitment to excellence is truly inspiring. Well done, Sam! Keep shining bright!”

Mr Morgan said, “I feel extremely proud and grateful to have been chosen for this award. It serves as a validation of the effort I’ve put into my work and the skills I’ve been developing throughout my apprenticeship. It’s encouraging to know that my contributions have been acknowledged and appreciated by my colleagues and superiors.”
