SAT welcome two senior appointments to Central Team
Spencer Academies Trust is thrilled to announce the appointment of two new senior members of staff to the Central Team.
Andrew Adams has been appointed as the Senior Head of Operations, having spent the past year in the role as the Procurement Manager for the Trust.
Prior to joining the Trust, Andrew spent the past 27 years working for Royal Dutch Shell in engineering and latterly contract and procurement roles. During his employment with Shell Andrew held postings in Aberdeen, Lowestoft, Nigeria and spent nine years seconded to Petroleum Development Oman based in Muscat, the Sultanate of Oman.
Andrew is looking forward to his new role within the trust, ‘I’m excited about my new role of Senior Head of Operations and look forward to further supporting our Teams across our Academies and the Central Trust Business Support Services Teams.’
SAT CEO Paul West “My congratulations go to Andrew on his promotion. After 12 months working to embed our procurement strategy, Andrew will be taking on a wider role as Senior Head of Operations. Andrew’s new responsibilities include Trust-wide oversight for Risk Management, Management of Internal Audit, Data Protection and the Trust Policy Portfolio”.
In his spare time Andrew enjoys spending time on his allotment, is a keen photographer and was awarded the Associate membership of the Royal Photographic Society for his wildlife photography of Oman.
Our second appointment is Paula Yarnall, who will take on the role as Head of Finance. Paula brings a wealth of knowledge and experience having spent the past 20 years working within finance in the non-profit sector and within education since 2006.
She has experience of managing centralised MAT finance and School Business Management. Being able to understand, from both sides, how effective financial management contributes to securing the best outcomes for children has enabled her to develop and implement effective systems and processes, ensuring benefits are distinct in all areas of interaction with finance.
Paula was delighted to join the trust, ‘The opportunity to work again within a progressive MAT, allowing for career development whilst strengthening knowledge in the ever-changing platforms of education, in particular the opportunity to be involved in the developing secondary school Infinity Park Spencer Academy.’
