Graeme Smith, Executive Principal at Farnborough Spencer Academy and Rushcliffe Spencer Academy, said: “Farnborough’s motto is ‘we are proud’. Everyone at Farnborough is so proud of the amazing achievements of our young people at Rushcliffe. As Farnborough celebrated its best ever GCSE results this summer, it’s great that Rushcliffe is welcoming an even bigger number of students to commence their sixth form studies this month. We are looking forward to this continuing to grow.”
Head of Sixth Form at Rushcliffe Spencer Academy, Ben Roberts, also shared: "It has been a privilege to see these students excel over the last two years. Students who join us from other schools, including Farnborough, receive amazing support from our pastoral team, meaning they can settle in quickly and become a strong part of our community. In addition, they take advantage of the incredible range of wider experiences that support their progression to the next stage, over and above the academic.”
Susan Sharp, Executive Director of Post 16 at Spencer Academies Trust, added: “We are so proud of the Spencer family connection between these two schools, and that more Farnborough students are joining Rushcliffe each year and progressing to some incredible destinations. We hope to have even more students joining us in the future and to keep growing and welcoming more Farnborough students to our Outstanding Sixth Form.”
This success demonstrates the strength of collaboration within the Spencer Academies Trust, where schools work together to provide life-changing opportunities and outcomes for all students.
Looking ahead, it is fantastic to see this year’s cohort following in their footsteps, with 12 Farnborough students securing a place at Rushcliffe Spencer Sixth Form once again. This continued success shows the growing aspiration and ambition across the Trust and reinforces the powerful partnership between Farnborough and Rushcliffe in supporting young people to achieve their very best.
On behalf of everyone at Spencer Academies Trust, we congratulate our students on their achievements and wish them every success in their future destinations.
