Admin Assistant / Receptionist

Salary: £18,000 - £19,000 per annum (37 hours, term time plus 2 weeks)

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • GCSE English and Maths grade C or equivalent.
  • Experience of working with young people.
  • Experience of data entry and extraction.

 

Main Duties:

  • Carry out administration for students signing in and out of school.
  • Monitor attendance and contact parents in connection with unexplained absences.
  • Carry out administration ensuring registers are completed and up to date.
  • Carry out the administration for absence requests, lates, exclusions and other communications.
  • Maintain all relevant records and complete all relevant filing.
  • Organise refreshments for meetings and replenish refreshments in conference room / LH01.
  • Produce documents and reports etc. using the full Microsoft office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support as required.
  • Check and process student records.
  • Deal with general enquiries from staff, students and parents.
  • Label/re-label pigeon holes as required.
  • Complete other duties as reasonably required by line manager.
  • Manage the school’s main telephone system.
  • Operate main reception doors/barriers and ‘No entry Sign’ as directed by SLT.
  • Be the school’s first point of contact with all visitors and callers, responding appropriately to all requests and queries.
