Successful Happy, Healthy and High-Performing Primary CPD Event

Our 17 primary academies joined together yesterday during our Primary CPD event to discuss and share expertise within the trust. The theme centred around Happy, Healthy and High-Performing with over 80 sessions delivered by over 100 staff from across our academies.

For the second time the whole event was hosted online by Principals and members of the Trust Central team. This format offered staff in schools’ maximum choice and ease of access.

Colleagues from across our academies and some external providers delivered 10-minute bursts of content so colleagues could learn about exciting and innovative practices and reflect on how these ideas could inform their work.

The event commenced with a powerful message from key note speaker Saeed Atcha MBE DL, who has become a leader and changemaker in providing opportunities for children from disadvantaged backgrounds. He reminded all of our colleagues about the importance and urgency of their work in helping all children to be happy, healthy and high-performing.

Angela O’Brien OBE, Spencer Academies Trust Director of Primary Education, ‘It was fantastic to pull together our 17 primary academies and share best practice and communicate as a collective. It was inspirational to see the wealth of talent and expertise we have across the Trust.’

Kevan Lomas, Spencer Academies Trust Associate Executive Principal coordinated the day, ‘Feedback from colleagues throughout the day highlighted the quality and breadth of provision across our schools. The contributors were professional, engaging and inspiring in equal measure.’

Well done to everyone involved.
